Capernwray started in Queensland in 1988
with a Summer School at Mt Tamborine. In addition to the Summer Schools at
Mt Tamborine, in 1992, Capernwray introduced the first of its Spring Schools
in Longreach. The following year, 1993, a Winter School was also introduced
at Mt Tamborine, in addition to Spring School at Longreach. The following
year, in 1994, Summer School was split between Southport and Toowoomba, and
Winter School was split between the Sunshine Coast and Mackay. With Summer School
back at Mt Tamborine in 1995, Winter School was again held in Mackay and on
the Sunshine Coast, and Spring School was again held at Longreach.
The following year in 1996, Summer School
was held at Toowoomba, and Winter Schools were held on the Sunshine Coast,
the Gold Coast and Mt Tamborine, Summer School moved back to Mt Tamborine
in 1997, with Spring School in Toowoomba and Winter School in Mackay. In
1998, Summer Shool was held on the Sunshine Coast, Winter Shools were held
in Longreach and Ballina, and Spring School was held in Mackay.
In 1999 and 2000 Summer School moved to
Lake Moogerah.
The 2001 Summer programme was held at Mt
Tamborine with guest speakers Johan Schep and Keith Adams. Mt Tamborine
also hosted the 2002 Summer School with Dr Lee Turner from the United
States and Ron Lowery from Capernwray Touchbearers New Zealand.
