January 2001 Easter Convention: 12 to 19 April 2001 Easter 2001 sees Capernwray join with Mt Tamborine Convention in what will be a marvelous full week of rich fellowship, teaching and encouragement in the Christian life. Please note the enclosed brochure and share the news of this event with others. Please read the brochure carefully for visiting and registration details and plan to be part of this great time, and bring friends. Jody Nelson and the boys Insufficient funds have been raised to offer return airfares to Jody Nelson, Jon, David and Brandon for a visit to Australia as we had hoped. Instead, the funds raised will be sent on to Jody to be used as they wish. Jody knows that whenever they do make such a visit there will be no shortage of interesting agenda and places for them to stay. Maybe it is for the best at this still relatively early time, being particularly poignant for Jon who shared that last visit to our shores with his Dad. Other News Vale our friend, Billy Strachan, for many years Principal of Capernwray Hall in England, passed on suddenly in Austria. His loss will be greatly felt. The service of his life will live on in untold benefit as his joy in reflecting Christ was real, and contagious to the last. He was in the company of Hans Peter Royer having finished a wonderful time of ministry and fellowship at Tauernhof at the time of his sudden passing. Charles Price and family have made a major decision to leave Capernwray for Charles to accept an (apparently persistent) offer to become senior pastor at the Peoples Church in Toronto. With televised services and an international ministry the Church is looking forward to Charles commencing in September 2001. Bob Hobson, another Capernwray friend and contributor since the earliest days of Capernwray Queensland, has told us that owing to a circulation problem involving pain and damage in his legs it is no longer advisable for him to travel long distances, e.g. to Australia.
