The ministry of Torchbearers in Queensland started with a Summerschool at Mount Tamborine in January 1988, organised by Richard Drew. It laid the groundwork for ongoing ministry throughout Queensland, extending from the Gold Coast in the south, to Mackay in the north and Longreach in the west. Each year, groups of people come together at mini bible schools to share their faith and participate in a stimulating teaching program with speakers that celebrate and explore the reality of the indwelling life of Christ. The ministry is made possible by the dedicated work of a large large group of volunteers, scattered across Queensland. The past ministry activities of Capernwray Torchbearers have impacted the lives of many people.
